I just saw and heard a great vid with sound of a 2008 SRT8 with Zoomer Exhaust on it both idling, doing a burn out, reving the motor, and at full throttle and it sounded absolutely awesome!! So I'm wondering if anyone here has heard of Zooomer and /or knows anything about them ? Post on here if you do or E-mail me at wboyd18993@aol.com, Thanks , Locomotion
Zoomers do sound great on the Challenger SRT. Zoomer exhaust is a company in Irvine, CA that is run by Dave Arlasky who built and raced top fuel Funny Cars and Dragsters back in the 1960s and 1970s. Here is their web site:

Hey thanks Cuda340, it sure is more quite on the Charger with the 5.7. I'm looking for a really loud rumbly exhaust to install on my 2009 R/T 5.7. If you know of any others please let me know or post the info. You can also E-mail me at wboyd18993@aol.com. The only other one so far that I'm considering is from SLP enginnering in Toms River NJ and thier " Loudmouth" system which seems fairly loud on a Charger. Let me know if you come up with anything better, I'd really appreciate it, thanks, LOCOMOTION
I was WAITING for this to come out. I've been a fan of Zoomers Exhaust ever since I heard them on the Charger. I was waiting for Zoomers to finally step up and release an exhaust for the Challenger. I love it.
I will definitely be getting Zoomers for my Challenger.
Corsa will give you a deeper/little louder idle sound. When you get on it then they really open up! They will in no way be as loud as Zoomers. Zoomers will be louder at every RPM including idle.
Even with Corsa, you step on it and eveyones looking! Cruising at 75 mph and you get no drone at all. Inside the car you swear your car is not the loud but the people outside the car really hear it.
This is from Youtube. It's a Viper v10, but the sound is pretty much the same on a 6.1 Hemi. Even at idle you can hear it. When he get's on it, he is probably around 3,000 to 4,500 RPM?
Compared to the 08's what do you think the 09 6spd will sound like with only factory resonators?
Nice zoomer video , well done sounds pretty good to.
PS I think the trans needs to shift harder on the auto cars to at least chirp the tires when it hits 2nd... sounds likt to soft and lazy shift to me.. I have been building transmissions for 30+ years.
As long as the nose does not dip then I guess it OK, but with that much power you should be able to get a firm fast shift, chirp the tires and still leap forward when banging 2nd.
My 78 dodge 3/4 ton 360 still bangs 2nd very hard, even after rebuilding the 727 trans more than 25 years ago. If fact at full throttle it will even get a lite chirp at 65 coming out on 2nd into 3rd.
Also on my 4x4 GM it has a trailer mode that makes the trans shift much harder and quicker too, and a little later. Would have been nice to add a feature like that for performance driving I thinks...
Well that Is why I am getting the 6spd. Not to impressed with slow factory mushy transmissions..If it was a caddy, 300 etc and you want that luxury car feel great. does the Diablo programmer address this issue too?
opps sorry to get of topic... just noticed in all the videos that tranns shift sounds slow and weak to me.
