2011 Turning steering wheel make a rubbing sound

When I turn my wheel I hear a rubbing noise. I know it is not the tires. Has anyone experienced this or have an idea what is happening?

Thanks

More info needed. Is it making a noise during the turning or just when you crank it to the stop point? If you are cranking it all the way, the power steering makes a slight noise and that's normal.

I can hear it when I am parked and I turn the wheel back and forth not very far each way. It's not the sound when you turn the wheel as far as it goes.

Is the rub sound like a groan? Slow speed maneuvering? If so, probably the rack n pinion same issue I had with my 2009. There was a repair bulletin done on it. Replaced under warranty. Noise comes back once in awhile.

I have the same issue. It just started making some noise when you turn the steering wheel left or right. Noticed it when I was backing up but it does it when turning. Sounds like the noise is inside the car. I have a 2011 Rallye.

I have a 2011 SE and I think we have the same sounds. It just happens when I'm parking, and sounds like its inside the car. Not real worried about it though.

Hello,

My 2011 SRT8 makes the same intermittent noise. I was wondering if the greased part really fixed the problem. If so, can you please tell me what part was greased, or any additional details you can provide? I'd like to do it myself.

Thanks for your time.

Happy Easter,
George
