I'd recommend doing research on Mustangs - there's an number of issues on those as well and the 'fixes' from Ford aren't holding up that well. (control arms, suspension squeaks, body panel fits, MT82 trans problems, and some electrical issues have cropped up)
Yes you are correct as I have heard they are having problems with that 6 spd. manual trans that is made in China
After hearing all about these different problems makes me wonder if I should buy a new Mustang instead even though the Challenger is a much nicer riding comfortable car?
I've had no problems at all with mine! Come to think of it, I never had any problems with my Mustang, either!

I flirted with the idea of defecting to Ford after all the issues my Charger had, but then I found out that the grass ain't greener over there. Plus I couldn't bring myself to want that car (nothing wrong with it; it's just for different people).

Right it's a smaller car and doesn't ride as nice.
I owned a 2007 Mousestang(V6). Wasnt a bad car, but they are like the Camaros and only seat 4. I can put 5 in the Challenger, now I look for them so they can see real muscle. BTW I've had the car back a week and it seems to be working fine, I can get in and out of traffic with no problem, and it accelerates like a BEAST!
