Well looks like I was getting way ahead of myself trying to jump in and install my headers with what turned out to be insufficient mechanical skills, everything was going great until I attempted to unbolt the starter for more clearance on the passenger side by removing the 2 long bolts holding it on and tried pulling it off a bit and it opened up on me and I can't seem to close it up? Is there a way to work this out or am I SOL? Thanks a lot in advance and sorry for being so ignorant?
Umm..Ill take a stab at this...are you certain that you didn't unbolt the actual motor body/casing from the armature & brush sets (ie: internals)? and then pulled it all apart.. cuz thats what is sounds like you did if it all came "apart" on you (??)
...to remove the starter, which comes out as an assembled unit (see google pics for what it should look like, loose & out of car), you should have unbolted the two short bolts at the starter flange, that mount the unit into the trans and the related electronic connections, they then pull right out as one fat unit.
There is no way are you going to get it reassembled on the car at this point, you will need to remove the other "half" of the starter and most likely take it to a rebuild shop to get it all put back together properly and working. Not to sound like a jerk,(seriously), but if that is in fact what you have done, reassembly is probably a bit above your skill level at this time, its not a simple matter of pushing the bits & pieces back together and screwing in the long bolts and hope it works.. replace it or have it rebuilt.
Best of luck.

Yeah I popped off the brushes, I took it off already and I'm having my guy try to assemble it back up tomorrow morning, thanks a lot! In lighter news I'm almost done installing my headers, got done with driver side today and hopefully finish up passenger side tomorrow.
