Called dealer today, handles ordered, bringing mine in for replacement as soon as they come in. Do key fobs have to be re-synched to new handles? Curious if I should bring both fobs with me.
i was at the dealer today too. for my headliner. i had my door handles replace in jan. they never did anything with the fobs. today they told me that along with the headliner they where going to replace the handles again with newer ones. didnt say any about the fobs, but i think ill bring both just in case...
I just received my notice in the mail but heres my dilemma, mine work fine, should i take it back anyway and have the service morons touch it? I realize they are trained and evrything but after I saw one do a 30 FT hole shot after servicing a 392, i hate to even let them touch mine. Is it for sure that in time the original ones will fail? Does anyone know. Thanks

I feel the same way, but supposedly there is also a chance of it unlocking vehicle after you lock it, which is not a good thing! That and the fact that if you don't do it now that it's an official recall, & something does happen, it'll be YOUR liability, not Chrysler. So, yes, I'm bringing mine in tomorrow.
the only time keys need to be reprogrammed is when the wireless control module is programmed or replaced
