Front facia issue

Just wondering if anybody else here has noticed a sag where the emblem is on the front bumper.i haven't taken it apart to see if some support might be broke ,but I have a decent gap between bumper and hood.maybe somebody put some weight on it and broke something.i didn't find any info on it anywhere,so it leads me to think I might need to spend some money.any input would be greatly appreciated

This was a common problem with the 08-10's. My 2010 had this. There are a few old threads on this. Some say their dealer said it was mis-aligned or broken clips but I never found anything like that on mine. If you open the hood and look in toward the fascia and wiggle it, you'll see where two hard plastic pieces meet in the center. One just sits on top of the other. Someone lifted up on the fascia and put a shim in between the two pieces at the center behind the hood latch. I tried that and it did work but I wanted something more permanent. What I did was this; remove the two trim panels, the ones with the "cup holders" on them. They just pop off. You will then see six plastic push retainers. If you wiggle the fascia and look at the retainers, you'll see that there is lots of slop in them. I replaced the center two with "elevator" bolts and nuts. The flat head of the elevator bolt fits perfectly in the recesses for the retainers. It's PITA to get the nut on underneath. I held the nut and washer together with tape and that made it easier to get it started on the bolt. Before tightening lift up on the fascia while tightening and when you close the hood the gap will be even all the way across the hood.
