Never had this happen - I use the ball of my foot. And I don't have small feet (11 - 11.5 size)

Are you using the arch of your foot on the pedal? That's about the only way I could see that possible.

I suspect your problem is with the hood latch. I had a problem with my Mustang GT where the hood would pop up to the safety catch if I hit a bump in extremely cold weather (below about 20 degrees anyway, which is rare for here) I assume it had to do with the contraction of metal vs. the factory fiberglass hood.

I've had this happen to me twice already,but only when I release the pedal after I park.Size 16 here,lol.

Size 15's here and yes I've done it. Its happened a few times when going to get out of the car, not during actual driving

15s here and I did it a few times the first month not even realizing that I did and wondered how the hood poped. Have not done it since I realized by I'm sure it will happen again?
