I'm having major playback error problems with my iphone 4 on Durango RHB media center unit. Songs skip, end abruptly before song ends. Is anyone else having this issue? And if so, how do I fix this? I can't imagine this type of playback being normal.

Thanks for the help.

Considering it didn't work at all with an iPod/iPhone before the firmware update, it's still a big improvement.

But yes - mine does the same thing. There transition between songs is not smooth, and sometimes it skips songs. This is with the USB connection.

I've been reading this thread with great interest as it seems to have the most information on the RBZ radio.
I have a '10 Grand Caravan with the RBZ (non Nav). I ran the 8.05.01 software update yesterday in hopes that it might add the Mute feature for the UConnect.
My lack of knowledge seems to indicate that this update had nothing to do with UConnect but perhaps the update you're discussing here will help the IPhone 3GS functionality.
My only question is..Could this update be of use in a 2010 RBZ?
Thanks to all those who have already shared their information and Thanks to anyone who helps with my question!

Hello Rustynutz,
Here's a couple of things for you,
1) The update that you performed was for the radio SW only and has nothing to do with the Uconnect module, the radio and Uconnect are 2 separate components.
2) The update that is being mentioned here is for the Uconnect modules in 2011 vehicles with the Mitsubishi radios (RBZ, RHB, RES & REQ) and will not work on the 2010 vehicles.
3) You mentioned wanting the "Mute feature" to work. Can you describe this issue for me, meaning are you talking about using "Mute" from the radio screen?
4) Have you tried to use VR (voice recognition) commands for "Mute".
(during a phone call try pressing the voice button and say "mute". UC should reply back with "Mute On", when you want the mute off again, press the UC button and say "Mute Off", she will reply back that mute is off.
Let me know if this helps.

Is this issue during streaming audio mode or using the docking cable? What is the SW version on the IPhone 4?

What we are trying to do is cancel the Uconnect during a call so it reverts back to normal phone use without jumping through a bunch of hoops (or getting blisters from button pushing!) Sometimes you just don't want everyone in the car listening in on your call
My wife tried the voice command for "mute" and it just turned off the mic but didn't allow for normal phone use.
My 2012 Ram pickup goes back to normal phone use when the "Mute" button is pushed on the radio screen during a Uconnect call. I realize it's not the same version or even radio but......

Oh ok. Then if that's what you're wanting to do, press the voice button and say transfer call. The call will now be routed to the phone for personal conversation.

Just so we all know. I have a 2011 chally srt8. There is a major problem with the 430n radio. It has problems with the bluetooth phone feature as well as the ipod operation. I have been fighting with chrysler for the last year and they will not address the issue except to say that they are aware of the problem and an update is coming. I have started lemon-law proceedings and they offered me an extended service contract till 70,000mi and free mobil one oil changes during the contract. All of this due to the fact that they just will not replace it with the 730n which works fine. I have one in my 2011 grand cherokee. I have contacted an attorney about starting a class action siut against chrysler.
