key fob not working

I have an 09 challenger r/t. I can start my car fine with the key fob but none of the buttons are responsive. I replaced the battery and still no luck. What should I try next? Thanks.

If the ethanol is the light end of the fuel, maybe we could have a metal pot sitting over an open fire, and pour gas in the pot and let the fire heat it up until the ethanol cooks off

Do you have the same problem with your spare key fob? If so, then it is a programing issue.

I'm having the same issue. The EVIC states " Key Damaged". This is the first time I'm trying to start the car this year. I get the same message form both Fobs. I separated them far enough that they would not interfere with each other. I tested the battery voltage and it is only 2 volts. They are 3 volt batteries. I'm going to change them and see what happens. I'm crossing my fingers that this works. Please let me know if anyone knows what to do. My car is an 09.
Thanks in Advance

The message I really dread is: "I'm sorry, Dave. I'd like to start the car, but I can't do that."
Seriously, I think that the battery is the first place to look. Let us know.

I don't have the spare key fob. I tried another new battery and still no luck. I've not seen any messages either dealing with the key fob. If it is programming, how do I program my key fob without a good one to use.

Go to your dealer. I had a key programmed couple months back and he did it for free. They normally charge $25.00. Don't buy a new key from them though! I purchased a fobik with blank key on ebay for $50.00...said "used" but it was as new. Had the key cut for a couple bucks and free programming. I don't think anyone can beat that.

I changed the batteries and I'm happy to report both Fobs are working.

I had the same problem with my 2010. Had to replace the fob and have it reprogrammed.
