Steering Column Noise

Has anyone else had this... Every time I would hit a bump I would hear a squeak from behind the steering wheel so the last time I had it in a the dealership I asked them to check it out. They did and said the steering column needed to be replaced as a bearing was bad on it. Not big deal they would have to order the part and it should take about three hours to do the work. Today I finally got the car in to be worked on. The job took much longer than three hours as I dropped the car off at 7:30AM for an 8:00AM appointment and it wasn't ready for pick up until 5:00PM. So I was already a little frustrated with them because of that. Then as soon as I got it on to a bumpy road the noise was still there if not worse. I thought it might be something else and I tried adjusting the tilt and pushing on the dash but at last every time I would hit a bump it would squeak. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks!!!

There's someone else here who had a similar issue. The dealer gave up I believe so he finally was able to track it down to a nut that wasn't fully tightened.

Found the thread: OMG!!! Rattle in dash FOUND! No clue how to fix it!!! (w/ video) PLEASE HELP!

Check out page 5 for the pic of the nut.

ohh man, i feel your pain.
my squeak is more of a plastic rub thus i really cant locate it.... but that front dash is one squeaky mofo i tell you that much, I am more intimate with the components of that dashboard then any other part of any previous car i ever had....

Also see the following thread as it may provide a more accurate solution than my first attempt at fixing it:
