Whining noise

Anyone else get a whining type of noise on the 6 speeds when shifting? It's really the only complaint I have, it's rather noisy, I can hear it over the hemi, which says a lot. Thinking of getting an exhaust just to drone it out.

Fill out your sig so we know what year and mods. All stock? Hurst shifter? Does the whining change with each gear change or does it only seem to change with vehicle speed regardless of gear?

Hurst shifters are known to transfer a lot of sound to the cabin, the stock shifter and soundproofing was good at masking that noise.

But, without more details about your car...

Sorry about that. It's a 2013 RT, all stock at this point.

The noise is more prominent when shifting from 1st to 2nd, it gradually gets better through each gear. It occurs right before it slips into gear.
