Ditto.

After reading the posts, it sure sounds like the car started out red to begin with.

Ahh patience everyone
Yes the stripes are painted on, yes it is two-tone just didn't have that part done until today. I was going to wait until Saturday to post the pics as the car will have the clearcoat on it but here is a preview with the Black.
The hood will have the R/T logo painted in black also.
Sorry about the bad pics the camera hated the flourescent lights

Clearcoat on Monday

Re: Car is off for some goodies

That two-tone works for me. Easy to pull off due to the two-tone style (vinyl tops) back in the 60's, early 70's. Verdict is out on the hood stripe, but those are lousy camera angles.

Definately the best I've seen. I had a similar style in mind before I bought my car, but can't really afford to paint it now. As I was going to go somewhat opposite// black car, with red, but very similar, with a thin white outline seperating, I'm curious about the white lines I see. Is it paint, or pinstriping? I was going to go all paint except use white pin striping.
Fantastic job !! Can't wait to see the finished product with clear coat.

What is your deal? Aside from clearly being marked as an R/T, what would even make you think he's going to put SRT on it? Congrats, you have a freaking SRT-8. Alot of us either can't or just wont budget 40K plus for a toy. I, for one, wouldn't even consider an SRT because for 75 percent of the price you can get 90 percent of the performance in an R/T.

The white you are seeing is actually a thin Silver line just to give the seperation from the Red and Black, it was painted without them originally but something did not look right.

The reason I wanted to paint mine was to take that wideness away from the mid section of the car, also with lowering it that will help.
