Ive been looking around, i have a 2010 SE black Dodge Challenger. I would love to put a red or yellow heritage hockey stick strip along the side, and change the chrome trim on my grill to red or yellow. Any thoughts about this? And also where might i be able to find the trim for the grill? This challenger in the picture has the trim on the grill im talking about. http://www.ridergraphix.com/Challenger_Blacktop6.jpg
It looks like it's just painted. It sounds stupid but the best way to paint those are to leave it on. just tape off and cover everything you don't want paint on.
To remove that grill trim, you need to jack the front of the car up, remove both front tires, release ABS brake connector, remove inner tire lining, undo all the fastens for the front fascia, undo bolts under the car, remove the front fascia, then pry the clips on that trim to release it, they are so tough and brittle you'll probably break a clip even if your careful, I tried while installing a new grill on my car and ended up leaving it on to paint it.
yeah, ill probably just end up painting the grill with it on. thanks for all the advice. And if anyone finds that link let me know =) much appreciated!
i just poped it out and painted it no prob to take it out took 5 min
How in the hell did you get it off so easily?!?!? Ihad to
pull the front bumper and snap off the tabs when I
put on my Mopar black chrome grill surround!!!
