Engine Cover Mod

I have been working on a way to vent the engine cover that is different than what others have done. I came up with the simulated velocity stack idea below. Before I cut holes in my engine cover, I wanted to get some opinions from other members..... What do you think?

Engine Cover Mod

Ok, I went ahead and completed the mod. Here are some pictures. I still need to add some screen to the underside.

not bad man! where did you get the trim rings?
i've been kicking ideas around on what to do with mine. one idea is the vent the top and paint it to go with my color scheme....the other would be more work but im thinking of a negative mold/impression of an object and then filling it with some high density plaster or something that can withstand the heat. once i have a good copy of the object i'll custom paint it and attach it to the top of the engine cover for some ludicrous awesomeness

I used aluminum tubing and turned them on my lathe. Sounds like you have some good ideas also. I have to do something with paint on mine but I wanted to get the hard stuff done first.
