Fog light bulb install

I was getting my oil changed at the dealer on Saturday and purchased some new white bulbs. I asked teh Dealer to plug them in while they were chaning my oil and had the skid plate off. They wanted to cahrge my $100. I was like.... go F yourself!

How hard is it to install fog bulbs in my 2010 srt8? Is it just removing the skid plate?

Yes, after removal of the skid plate, it is pretty much just push in the bulb housing while turning counterclockwise I think, then with a slight pull they will pop out......not very hard for sure...

fog install

I just did this yest - I also pulled out 6 push pin type plugs in the wheel bay (3 each side) to pull more plastic skid plate out the way for easier access . I used the jack on each side as my bulbs didn't quite fit the same (Sylvania zxe) one of the 3 tabs was just off. Just took some more wiggling and twisting to sit flush. Use some surgeon gloves when handling the bulbs too . Which bulbs did you use and how do like em ?

I just did mine, took 20 minutes, I did the wheel well trick as mentioned above w/o jacking the car. I just turned the front wheels to the right and did the front left and vise versa. Changed them to amber fogs.

My parking light is 6k LED switchbacks and my headlights are 6k HID. Really cool contrast. When my turn signal comes on the amber matches my fogs.

The 9145 lamps turn to seat. The PSX24W lamps have two tabs squeeze and the lamp pulls straight out. I suggest if you have the foglights with PSX lamps, just get some 2009 housings with the 9145s. The PSX lamps are worthless - weak output.

Thanks for the tip.

I hate dealing with those push pins since they are prone to breaking.

I purchased Halo Automotive H10 / 9145 Icis Blue Xenon White Headlight
