Help me pick out a wheel already

I don't see a wheel/suspension section, so I hope this is the right section.

I don't have a car yet, but already deciding on a wheel.

American Racing: Official Manufacturer Website- custom, chrome, polished and painted wheels

I don't know how to read this:

Size Offset Backside Bolt Circle
20x8.5 20 5 1/2 5x115
20x8.5 0 4 3/4 5x4 3/4
17x9 45 6 3/4 5x4 3/4
17x8 0 4 1/2 5x4 3/4
17x10.5 44 7 1/2 5x4 3/4

(sorry, I tried to space it out above, but it won't let me)

I understand offset, but don't know what Backside and Bolt Circle means.

Will this wheel work for the Challenger? Or many other LX, since they are the same.

The 5 bolt circle means that the wheel has 5 lugnuts. The 4 3/4 is the diameter of the circle that passes through the center of all 5 holes. The rear spacing,or back spacing, is how far the wheel sticks in (i.e., the distance from the back edge of the wheel to where the wheel contacts the hub). If you lay the wheel down on the floor with the back side up,it would be the distance from the back lip of the wheel to the surface that has the holes. This matters because there is stuff that the wheel or tire can hit if it sticks into the wheel well too far.

Front side is the distance from the front edge of the wheel back to where it contacts the hub. These two dimensions added together will be approximately 1" wider than the designated wheel width.

Hope this helps.

Re: Help me pick out a wheel already

My wheels will be Intro Vista 2. They are similiar in design to the SRT/8 wheel with a more nostalgic feel. Would be nice to see a set on a Challenger. Someone steal my idea and post some pics.

Intro Vista 2:

Dude...let me tell you, You have excellent taste. They remind me a little of a modern version of the classic 60's Radir wheels. Do they make them in the 115mm bolt pattern??

Re: Help me pick out a wheel already

Those look great. May have to do those

Is that your car? If so, what size rim is it? Looks almost like a 22''
