Newbie exhaust installation question

First off, sorry for the newb question
I'm waiting for my cat back system to arrive and was wondering about installation. I'm not going to weld the pipes, just use the clamps that are supplied. Is there anything that I can do, or put on the pipes to help avoid leaks in the system? (properly torqued fasteners are a given)
thanks,
Mark

Re: Newbie exhaust installation question

retorque all connections after 25-50 miles of driving. you should be all set after that.

like vtodd said. put a few miles on her, and then retorque them. That should do the trick.

Ditto. The new band style clamps seal very well.

Re: Newbie exhaust installation question

Thanks guys.
Generally, what torque specs should I use...50-60 ft/lbs, sound about right?
