Exterior Discussion / ModificationsWant to change the look and appearance of your Dodge Challenger? This section is for the discussion of any exterior visual modifications. Examples include wheels, custom paint, grills, etc.
I perused all the threads before I posted this, but I have a quick question: My BRAND NEW Bright White Classic is on a car hauler on it's way from a CA dealer.....so as I impatiently await the call from the driver I've been contemplating what I am going to do stripe wise on my new car. Go no stripes or add the front and rear sections like some guys have with their Classic? What I do not like about the black stripes is that they are a matte finish, and is a decal, meaning special care must be taken when cleaning and protecting them long term.
If I remove the stripes and have them painted on in a gloss black, will the rear matte black surround look out of place?
There's also aftermarket R/T ('71 Style) that you can get in gloss black that have a more slick finish that the matte-only black offered as OEM.
