I saw someone with the center tail light "DODGE" Emblem removed and replaced with "CHALLENGER". Where can i get this done? Or is it a homemade modification?
The DODGE lettering are glued to the center tail light and can be removed.
HOWEVER, the word "DODGE" is carved into the tail light lens itself, right where the letters are attached. When you remove the letters, the carving on the lens will remain and, I suspect, will give you an uneven surface on which to affix the CHALLENGER lettering
I sure wish somebody would post a HD photo of both the front and back of the clear part of the tail lights. Better yeu if I could get a broken center sction to play with. I have two things I'd like try. (1) remove the letters and air brush them with translocent body color. With a lot of taping my wife has the ability to tape the sides of the inents so you could only paint the bottoms of the letter holes. (You should see her pin stripe taping: she can do better than most professionals) (2) Groove the lens with a dremmel tool router, and put the 100th anniversery emblem or a Mopar emblem in the routed area.

This site is now VERY hard to use! I can't get anywhere on this site.why can't people just leave things alone. Couple years ago this was a very easy site to use, now it's impossible.
They're called Daytona covers, they just overlay the stock tail lamps.
I got them from Steve White's, but they don't sell them any more. I've heard 3rd Strike performance may have them, but I don't know for sure.
Ok Kruzin , this is not a **** statement, but I like the your rearend looks.! I found the taillight covers like u have, and spoiler. So where did u get those exhaust tips? Thanks..
Kruzen: Are the indentations for the Dodge letters flat, so I could have purple stickers cut to put in the indentations. Do the D and O have allignment dimoles in the lense?
T
Hey Kruzin guess what? I just got a email from 3rd strike saying that the company that they get their Daytona Covers from are no longer making them, and that they will refund me tomorrow Friday. Some problem with their Mold. And they are not going to sell them anymore. So your lucky and I'm NOT. PCP!!!
Apparently I am lucky.
Luke reported a lot of returned kits because of defects and breakage during shipping. The high return rate was why Steve White's stopped selling them. I got mine in perfect shape, and free of defects.
Mine was from the first full batch made for Steve Whites last year after a new company bought the molds. I was on the list that rallied to get them to ordered. They only sold them for a month or so before they dropped them (again). I wish they had not become unavailable. I love em, and would want to replace them if anything damaged them.
There are a few other sites out there that claim to have them....never know, someone might still have some left in stock...
Yeah I feel for you dude, I was bummed when HPP stopped making them initially, but was so glad Steve White brought them back for a while at least. I got one from their first batch and it came to me completely snapped in half. But quickly got another good one from Luke from their 2nd batch. But like Kruzin, I too worry about some jacka$$ rear ending me and then not being able to find another one. Oh well, can't worry about things like that.
Sorry you aren't having any luck finding one. Have you checked Mancini Racing? I know they had them at one point, but they tend to leave things up on their site for way longer than they are in stock. Give them a call.
I realize it has been awhile since the last post, but another option is to do it yourself. Here are a couple of shots that might interest you. I did the black out myself over a weekend.
