Recommend some wheels on a budget?

This is probably an impossible request but it's worth a shot. Alright I'm getting an SE (eventually) and I'd like some more retro wheels than what it comes with. Still 17s though. I really like the cragar s/s and torque thrust wheels but that's $1000 for wheels which is about double what I can or will pay for. Can any retro styled wheels be had for $150 a pop? Seems all that exists in that pricerange is ghetto looking stuff for primer colored civics. I'll survive without but I thought I might get lucky! Thanks

Re: Recommend some wheels on a budget?

There is a shop on ebay selling the cragar ss in a 20x9 for $600. I am looking into the same wheel only with a deeper lip from one of my wheel suppliers.

Re: Recommend some wheels on a budget?

Yeah I'll have to keep my eyes on ebay to see if I can find anything. I don't HAVE to have that specific brand, I am just looking for something similarly retro.

Unfortunately if I go for anything other than 17s I have to buy new tires too so it kind of negates any savings. And I prefer smaller wheels anyway.

Re: Recommend some wheels on a budget?

look at centerlinewheels.com,,, they have overstock specials all the time. When you do a wheel search, you can search by bolt pattern which 5x115mm,,, but you can also use 5x4.5 pattern which works because of tolerances.

Not to mention, Centerlines are light, you can probably drop 100 lbs off the weight of car.

Re: Recommend some wheels on a budget?

Yeah I like cragars too they are on my old dart and I think they look similar to the look that Mopar is doing on this option too. Maybe try nostagic wheels, they have decent prices, great service etc..

Yeah the cragar SS big lip option looks pretty close to the classic wheel option mopar has for the chally.
