Red on black paint job anyone?

So this is a photoshopped version of how i think i'd like a paint job done. the red is maybe a little of tone but this is the basic picture.

what do you think of it? my other options: red stripe down the middle or black out.

Realize it is just a fast photoshop image, and that could be part of it, but somehow not quite clicking for me. The downside to a paint job like this is you are getting married to the car and the divorce will be expensive. You might try out some custom red stripes with vinyl. If they work, great. If after a while you decide the look wasn't quite what you wanted, you just pull the vinyl off. And when you go to sell the car, you can leave the stripes on but make it clear to potential buyers they can pull the stripes off if they want.

Both the hood-to-fender and 71-style side stripes show how good red can look on the black. Since you want something more custom, why not think about some red custom stripes? Less $$$ and easily reversible if you or a buyer doesn't like them...

Looks good! You should try reversing the colors though, I think it may look better with black on top. I've been considering doing something similar to my B5 but I'd really rather try vinyl first....does anyone make vinyl that large?

I would think to move the red down to the side body line to give it more of a blended look rather than squared off parts.

Also, I think the blackout has been done to death on so many cars now.
My chally is black as well and toyed with the idea but wasn't too original at this point.

And have you looked at vinyl rather than painting?

The Chopper is Las Vegas has a two tone, of sorts, Challenger on their lot for sale. I've see it in person. Looks like two cars were pieced together to make one, Terrible Looking IMO. I think where the two tone look goes wrong is in equal parts of color, one color should be the dominant color. I'm not a fan of vinyl stripes, but some CT members here have come up with some awesome looking stripe variations. Sometimes more is less. I like the marriage and divorce example.
