Shaker hood idea.

What do you guys think of this pic? I'm going to do a shaker and was thinking I would put a dull orange light in the shaker housing itself so it would have a slight orange glow to match the body color... Nothing bright and only coming out of the shaker nostrils and not the whole front end like on this green charger. The reason I'm asking is I don't want it to seem too much like Knight Rider... I actually didn't have Knight Rider in mind and didn't notice the similarities until after someone at work mentioned it. I also don't think I would do it as bright as this car.

Re: Shaker hood idea.

i love it. I actually did that to my dodge ram a few years back (minus the shaker on my truck). It looked pretty cool until i forgot to turn it off one day

Got pulled over and had to cut the wires

Re: Shaker hood idea.

Yea I plan to make it pretty dim so you can notice it but cops hopefully wont mind... I guess the biggest problem with doing orange is they could think it looks something like a police/fire/ambulance strobe.

Re: Shaker hood idea.

Cool work Mike. I won't want to cut my hood, but maybe one of those aluminum T/A hoods could be the donor.

Re: Shaker hood idea.

DK I think kits like these come with a hood.

So Mike your Danko? I actually got that picture from the DankoReproductions photobucket. What was the cost of the Charger system and what do you expect the cost will be on the Challenger? (I'm guessing almost the same)

What about selling the kit without a hood?
