So I've been thinking what kind of stripes to put on the Challenger. Definitely don't like the look of the factory stripes on the 2009.
2009 R/T stripes
Bumblebee stripe
1971 R/T stripes
And this last one, notice the "gills" in front of the rear fender. Any aftermarket guys going to make a set? I'm sure they were just stick on in the first place.
I'm in the same opinion. Those '09 R/T stipes - don't like them. They look like someone spent all of a 1/2 hour designing them and then stuck them on the car.
Should have offered the R/T to rear quarter window stripe, bumblebee stripe or the full length side stripe - or, the option of no stripe at all at the buyer's discretion.
They remind me of the '71 Road Runner hood-to-fender striping if the car didn't have the Air Grabber hood option. And they didn't look that good on those cars then - garish and quite large.

Ok, I have went to the vendors site and looked at what they have to offer. I have an Orange RT on order with the hood strip. (Not the hood to fender strip) . I seen an Orange RT pic fro the Mopar Natinals. It has the same stip on the vendors site 71 RT styl. C Flat black. I really like the look. I am looking for input from other new and future owners. I am torn about messing with the stock look. What about 10 years from now. What will I have then. If I did take them off, would or could the paint over look right again? IF you plan on keeping a car untill ya die. Do you get two sets , just incase? Thoughts?
And well you should - those give the look without grabbing attention from the rest of the car. IMO, the star is the car - it's got great lines, and those should be the main attraction.
I like the factory RT stripes for the same reason - they don't dominate the car. The more I see them, the more I like them.
I'm going w/ the srt style hood stripe in matte black not because it is the srt stripe or to ba a look alike. I just like the suttle nature of a hood stripe on a not so suttle hemi orange car. I want buy extras because the after market will always have a supply.
That looks great, I love the flat black on the black car, great look!

I agree - that's the look I'm going for on my 09 SRT, only instead of the side stripes, I'd like to see a SuperBee style rear wrap-around stripe with just the SRT-8 cutout on it in place of the SuperBee badge.
I think the standard SRT hood stripes give the front enough accent - even when viewed quartering in. There's nothing on the rear except the DA spoiler to offset the front. That wrap-around would be just right on the rear - especially flat black on the gloss black paint.
