I put some of "RPI designs" stuff from "car craft" under my hood today, and thought I'd share it with you. Some of it requires a little "re-work" to get it to fit perfectly, but once it's in I think it looks pretty cool. Tell me what you think.
Thanks,
Bob

Bob,I like it really shows off the engine bay, really clean
what do you mean by a little re-work what did you use to make the trims?

Well, the wiring harness cover was about 2" too long , and would have been halfway through my T.B. The instructions actually called for you to remove a bolt from the T.B. to be used to mount a front bolt; but the third bolt actually uses the spot where the catch can gets installed.
I have the catch can , so I had to make a special notch for the braided line as well. (no issues with that, but the fact that the whole unit was too long was irritating) The fuel rail covers actually cover the fuel rails. In their picture however they don't. I guess I was supposed to relocate the harness (which RPI informed me about later// I cut a notch for the harness// they're sending me a new front piece) but the biggest problem was the "header plate" which I worked for hours trying to shape, and when I finished , my hood still wouldn't close, so I cut it and formed it so that it would fit, but because I had completed the installation previously thinking it was good, and removed the plastic before cutting it to fit , it became scratched , and garbage.
I used a mini-grinder, with zip cut blades to cut the pieces to make them fit.
Almost all of the pieces were built wrong. I had a discussion with Rick from "car craft" the manufacturer about this , and he said they didn't have a car to try them on.
Anyway, I cut @ 2" off the "header plate" so it would fit. See pics, but it got scratched because I had removed the plastic thinking all was well. (until I tried to close my hood).

Thanks "turasque" !!
I wasn't really sure about it when I ordered it. (thought maybe , too much bling) , but it looks really sweet in person. Something about a chrome (actually mirror stainless steel) and black , where they seem to take on each others qualities and become like one. It really looks bad a$$ in person.
Thanks,
Bob

I had the same issues with the header, but I took pictures and gave him some relative measurements and he recut one for me.. Not sure about their pattern control.. when their stuff fits it fits nice.. when it doesnt.. fagetaboutit... I have all the same parts (rail and harness covers) sitting on my bench for install this weekend.. Thanks for the heads up.. I will see how mine fits (and NOT remove the plastic)
