Theres probably a bunch of people who have to track down your order, change the stripe, so the potential for error is certainly there. Chill and if you're worried type up a letter saying that the sales manager knows about the change and if the wrong stripe is delivered they will change it at no cost, then have the sales manager sign it and leave a copy for him. I learned "always get it in writing", otherwise it's just talk that nobody remembers ever occured. Getting things in writing is the way to do business and live your life! That way if the salesman or manager leaves the dealership you have a document stating what they will do for you on behalf of the dealer, works every time, as you know talk is cheap.

I would probably do the following:

1. Setup a deal with another dealership for the same terms or better, ready to go at a moment's notice. Challenger or Camaro, that's your call.

2. Go to the first dealership and have the manager call up your order. Don't speak to the salesman you dealt with at all.

3. If the stripes haven't been changed yet (BEFORE you arrive), cancel the order and take your business to the other dealer. They've had DAYS to deal with this, so if they haven't then they can FOAD. And no, they can't change it while you're there, either. You've seen how they treat their customers at that point, so they have already proven whether or not they are worthy of your business. You're the one with the money, you shouldn't have to beg them to do anything for you. Act accordingly. Give them no chance to make excuses or apologize. If they give you one second of lip about taking your refund back, then buy the Camaro instead and let Dodge know why.

Conversely, if they have done it then all is well and the other dealer can be told that.

Want a good experience, by a Bentley, Aston Martin, Ferrari or Lambo!

Otherwise your best bet is an Asian manufacturer for decent service. Honda for example looses their minds if a dealer acts bad towards a customer.
Not completely true. Some Dodge dealers service dept's suck, others are good. Sometimes its the service advisor that sucks. I found a great dealer out in NC and a service advisor who is prompt and takes care of you.

Go to any auto forum and you here the same complaints about service and dealers. Ford,
Dodge, GM or whomever, there's good and bad with any brand. It depends on who's doing
the managing.

Just stop in on your way home from work. Anyone can pull up your order and make the change. Is the sales guy a ****** for not returning your calls? YEA!! but they ALL are! LOL They're job is to blow smoke up your a$$ and make the sale. 10:1 he will be gone in a month.
What REALLY matters is their service department. They're the ones you will be seeing quite a bit of. The sales force, you'll see once every 4 - 6 years at best. :-)

Just document all your interactions and be patient. You could go and verify the order has been changed, ask for proof. If the salesman is not responsive, go up the food chain. I have had problems with dealerships before and ended up finding out the name of the person that owns it. Then call the dealership and ask for him, but ask for him in a way that makes it sound like you know him personally. Many times the top dog does not know what is going on in their business-typically only numbers and statistics.

If I were you I would just walk into the dealership and have them change it the computer while you're there and give you a new print out.

If you do decide to change dealers and still want to go will the challenger then go to Dallas Dodge I have bought both my challengers from them and they are badass. The first used 09 I bought had 18K miles on it and all options available but it had shitty black rims on it they were asking 32K I told them no way would I buy the car with those rims so they switched out the rims and put on brand new srt8 rims and new tires and after all the details were worked out I walked out of there with tax/title and a 3 year 30,000 mile warranty for 27K a little over 2 1/2 years later they call me up and ask to buy the car back from me and they will get me into a new one for around the same monthly payment. So I am thinking and I realize I am about to have to replace all 4 tiers and do a brake job and oil change and my inspection is almost up and my warranty is going to be up in about 6 months so I go into see what the deal is and after they try and work me for awhile and realized I don't need a challenger I already have one they stopped playing around. My 09 rt had valued on KBB for 19k I checked before I went up there they gave me 24k for it and put me into a brand new 2012 with 7 miles on it every option 70,000 mile warranty asking price was 36k but after all was said and done 32K was what we ended with and they worked out the loan at 2.5%... amazing service man they understand they have to sale not manipulate

Just do the carrot bait thing go down to the dealer with a buddy and tell your salesman that your buddy is thinking about buying a diesel Dodge Ram. Ten bucks says you get your stripe problem fixed asap. Not fair but dealers are always looking for the next sale.
