Wow, so that is for the Cold Air Intake, Cat Back, and new PCM? That doesn't seem to bad.
People spend $400-600 on a tuner, $200-400 on a CAI, and $800-1500 on a catback...so say anywhere from $1400-$2500 on those items ...and then most people pay a little more to get a custom tune done as well. This stage 1 kit doesn't seem to bad.
Maybe there is hope for the stage 2 & 3 kits to if this stage 1 kit makes this much power.

I was doing a little more reading about the Stage 1 kit. The shaker kit doesn't have a cold air intake listed. Does this mean the factory black plastic intake tube with the extra lump remains? No replacement with a metal tube like the other CAI? The original press release back in November 2013 seemed to list a cold air intake as part of the kit. I guess this has changed? Thanks...
For owners of a pre-2015 Challenger, if they send in their PCM, is there a risk it is re-programmed with updated code that they would not be able to then use any Tuner on?
And if not, would they somehow be impacted on doing any custom tunes, now that Dodge apparently has "registered" their PCM in addition to programming it themselves to accommodate the Stage 1 upgrades?
And this cannot be ordered, must have a vin and mileage in order to place an order, in other words this will never be ordered for the shelf
We must supply a vin number and current mileage in order to place an order.......so if you want it, payment received, an order will be placed, and unfortunately no idea of eta once order is placed, my guess, very quickly since all parts currently exist
Sorry about that the dealer that takes care of my 09 Ram (just oil changes) wanted 150 plus tax just for the charger intake tube. Wonder why they want the mileage I will go home and beg the wife to allow me to spend the money keep up the good work Luke. Again my apologizes!
The PCM will be encoded for the vehicle's VIN # and probably has a mileage count as well - many items store mileage and VIN (IP cluster, PCM, in some cases radio head unit as well).
I'm curious as to if they will be selling programming only without selling the PCM. In other words, go to the dealer and they flash a performance tune for you, like Ford does.
When this was first announced last year, the Catback for this kit appeared to be electronic cutouts...is this the same exhaust, or is it a conventional catback system?
This is the picture from Allpar's article (and no, this isn't the cutout from the 2015 Scat Pack Pre-Production pictures, this is from the <2014 Scat Pack article last fall):
In the press release (perhaps one of the videos) they mentioned that the side exit exhaust was experimental and not part of the standard kit. It's the regular MOPAR cat back system that comes with the stage 1 kit.
Luke, do you know if it is possible to just get the PCM? I already have the MOPAR CAI and CORSA cat back (which I believe is the same as the MOPAR cat back).

Another thought... How can they say the kit is good for 20hp/22tq with just a CAI, cat back, and a canned tune? Wouldn't this be the same results as guys running the aforementioned mods and a Diablo? They are not getting the same HP increases from what I've seen. I really want to get this kit, but if it's basically the same as me piecing it together myself, I'd rather save some $$$.
the other thing we have placed a core value of 500.00 in order to ensure return of the pcm, however we can sell you a brand new pcm for less than 300.00, that way we can return a stock pcm and you can keep your old one
