Re: 2008 Dodge Challenger Spy Shots

I'm willing to bet it is going to have a B pillar, most likely for NVH reasons, hardtops are (were?) notorious for wind noise, water leaks, and glass alignment issues. Personally I'd rather a hidden B pillar, still have the good looks, and the extra rigidity. I dont really care if the 1/4 glass opens or not.

Side note.. I dont recall if the 77 78 Grand Fury, or Coronet/ Monaco 2 doors had opening rear 1/4 windows. If not was the E body the last Mopar coupe with opening 1/4 windows?

Same year but 74 Charger 1/4 windows opened. I agree with your stated problems about hardtops but look at Mercedes CLK coupes, no B pillars. There must be a way.

Re: 2008 Dodge Challenger Spy Shots

Didn't you guys see the factory floor spy shots?

http://www.allpar.com/cars/dodge/cha...spy-shots.html

The car has a B-pillar. I don't like it either -- I had one of those '74 Chargers and loved the thing to death -- but it seems to be a done deal.

And I've gotta say, if that's the worst thing they do to it, we don't really have much to complain about.

I'd just take it out with a sledgehammer, it would leave "original" features

Thumbs up Re: 2008 Dodge Challenger Spy Shots

well all i can say everyone is you should like the overall look of the car, we just got 1 unit in yesterday and they pulled all the covering off today. i'm pretty happy with the look of it, AND BEFORE EVERYONE ASKS FOR PHOTOS OR TOO MANY DETAILS...i really like my job and WILL NOT take photos of it in the shop, and i can't give out any info about it, i'm sorry bout that. i will tell you this the "B" pillar doesn't look that bad, and looks great with the windows up. again you should really like the car as a package.
