Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!

Almost all the dealerships around here that have an SRT on the lot will deal. I'm not sure how many are 6 speeds but I'll check around. I know Shorewood Dodge has a silver 6 spd SRT that they wanted to deal on with me but I never got a price. I know it' below msrp.

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!

I will be home around the 23rd-ish of January, so if I can line up someone who is willing to deal and offer decent trade in on my SRT-4, I will definitely be interested. I'm really lusting after a Black car, but I'd take Torred as well, since that's pretty much my SRT-4's color, i'm used to having a red car, and its also more rare on the SRT8's .

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!

They're starting to deal on Challengers in the Milwaukee area. 5 Corners Dodge announced some dealer incentives. Congratulations to those of you who are already lucky enough to own one. It is truely an awesome car! My wish for the new year is that Chrysler / Dodge / Challenger survives.

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!

I've been following this thread with much interest for a few months. The prices swing so much from region to region it's crazy. I suppose supply and demand doesn't really have anything to do with it!

Haven't done much shopping personally but here's what I've seen on dealer lots within the last month or so:

Tysons Corner VA - 3 6cyl at around $25K, looks like very basic no real upgrades other than the sunroof, two black, one the charcoal grey (beautiful color)

Manassas VA - 3 Challengers (couldn't stop so don't know which model they were) 2 hemi orange and 1 black

Beaufort SC - 3 SRT8s running around $48K fully loaded in hemi orange but they were automatics

I'm finally seeing Challengers on rare occasion on the daily commute. Here's hoping in '09 we see as many or more than we do of the Mustangs! If you get one, please drive it.

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!

If you're in Cali, you need to be on eBay. Beat local dealer prices by at least $3,000. Local dealers acted as if they were doing me a HUUUUGE favor by selling at MSRP. I can't tell you how many times I heard "We've never sold one of these at MSRP, there's always a market adjustment". I found my deal at Baxter CJD in Omaha, Nebraska. Andrew Sallach was my salesguy.

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!

I ordered my Challanger R/T in October at $500 below MSRP. My company has laid off 75% of it's employees. The rest have to take 16 days off each quarter, except the field engineers. We lost our $600 car allowance. There goes the money for my R/T payment. I canceled my order for the R/T. The dealer didn't give me any trouble at all, and gave back my $4000 down payment when I walked through the door. The sales manager said it was too late for him to cancel the order, and would use the car for stock. He said he would call me to see if anything had changed when the car comes in, in late Feb or March. There are now other dealers in the area offering Challangers at $1000 - $3000 below MSRP, depending on what you want. I'm still trying to figure out how to afford that R/T when it comes in. Here is the plan so far. Stop the 401K allotment, cut the cable TV, get out of the ESPP, reduce the insurance on the wifes car to the minimum, ask the dealer for a lower price, and charge my 26 year old son $100/month rent. What do y'all think, am I being unreasonable, or should I just let go of the dream?

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!

I would NOT stop my 401K , when we come out of this mess were in the money you put into your 401K will be the most money you made with it . Save what you can you don't have to buy today things are going to be OK just ride it out.

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!

Where are the $3000 below MSRP at? I'd like to fit myself into a $31-32G model but the sales taxes would kill the dream.

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!

100 bucks rent for your 26 year old son? Uh how about like 400 so you can get closer to owning your R/T . 100 bucks isnt unreasonable , especially since he probably should be out of the house by now

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!
