Regarding the deal I got on my R/T last Tuesday: The MSRP was $36,210. I paid $34,344. I realize I would have done better in Feb. but can't turn back time. Maybe I would have saved more than $1800 as that figure was off the top of my head. I don't remember what that car would have cost under EPP+.
But the important thing is that I love the car!

Thanks Dodeboy,
I think you did great! Enjoy that thing and please drive safely.
Glad to read that there are some out there who are using their heads when it comes to price.
I , for one , walked in Feb. on pricing for a R/T Classic. Yes, I was (and still am) red hot for the car , but no because the car was still overpriced ,IMO. A fellow retiree just picked up a brand new 08 Shellby off the floor for nearly 12K off list. That's the kinda of dealing I respect. Of course I'm not suggesting that a new Challenger can be had at such a deal at this time , but to support dealer guouging is something I refuse to do.
Chrysler and most of their dealer network deserve to lose their shirts.
BTW, Autotrader has over 2,500 unsold (mostly new Challengers ) listed for sale.
My friends, they are not RARE and production will commence again and run for a couple of years more and bankrupcy will not interfere. Tighter emission and CAFE standards imposed by the new administration will kill it, but by then the deals on new and especially, low mileage used ones will be very, very good.
Just my .02 from and oldster.
Funny, I was looking at 08 Mustangs myself after getting frustrated with the local Dodge dealers. Ford dealers have plenty of 08's left at 0% interest for 72 months.
As the Rolling Stones said, Ti , yi, yime is on my side, yes it is....... don't get in the shuffle people, just WAIT!! The 2010's will be out soon enough, along with the Camaro and we will just see what happens then. And , God forbid, you happen to die before you get your Challenger in the next few months, then, well..... it just wasn't meant to be.........maybe in the next life?

Funny, I did the same thing on friday. Popped into the local ford dealer to take a close up look at the mustang.
Our local dealer, Meador, is advertising today a SRT with factory nav for $42,995, a R/T with factory nav for $33,995 and a SE for $19,995. Those numbers aren't the best I've seen this year but they are pretty good with no EP++. There are some deals out there you just have to search hard for them.
Wondering how good this deal was, I drove it home Jan 30 with this deal. Only found the site recently, and was looking back at this thread...did I somehow luck into buying this at the exact perfect time by accident?
