How in the world are you getting the invoice price of a vehicle in the first place? I work at a dealership and am not even privy to that information! If so, how are you certain that it's a real figure to begin with?

I too am having difficulty determining the invoice price. I've used Edmunds.com as my bible in the past but the prices listed there differ from anything on dodge.com under the "Build it" option. I'd appreciate any reliable information and sources others have used.

Try Allpar.com. The info there seems to be fairly accurate.

Here is a link as an example. I didn't have time to search the whole site for more info, but you get the idea. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

The 2008-2009 Dodge Challenger specifications

BAD NEWS!!!

I just got off the phone with the owner of the dealership that I ordered my Challenger through and the 0% financing is OFF!!

The agreement made with GMAC when they took over the financing for Chrysler Financial is that they don't have to honor the 0% agreements. The employee pricing and $1000 cash back will be honored, only the 0% is down the toilet.

The salesman told me that it was $600 over invoice. Bad news for me too. The Indiana dealer won't dealer trade. Paying $447 more in taxes means that I'm only getting $800 off on MSRP and I really don't feel like driving to IN. Maybe I'll wait for 2010 if the Challenger is still around.

The thing that really sucks or sounds fishy is that CF did not go out of business or file for BK, they are being merged into a company, GMAC, owned by the same people that owned CF! The 0% financing was set up back when Chrysler promised the feds that they would offer spec financing for customers if the feds lent them 1.5 billion dollars. They got the fed loan plus more and now they are working to renig on the deal! I hope the BK judge knows this and we can put some pressure on the new Chrysler and feds to get this carried thru!

Quite frankly, I'm surprised you're getting the $1000, I would grab that and go and not look back, still an awesome deal with the EP. The best I can do in the North East is $200 above invoice and I'm not happy with that,(Economy+BK11??). These cars are gonna go down in price over the summer and I still believe incentives will come as soon as people stop paying retail, camaros and Stangs pulling market share,(they will), and gas going up again. But that's just my opinion, my cyrstal ball is broken again.Good Luck!!
