Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!

There's been no comments on how any of the Challengers would perform on roads with snow or ice. I've heard the rare wheel drive Chrysler 300 is not very good, so I assume they would be comparable.

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!

My 06 Charger R/T was terrible the one time I drove it in the snow. Thank god I have my 01 Dakota 4X4 so my Chally can stay safe in the garage.

My 2006 Charger was also not very good. But after I added some sand bags to the truck, it was a little better. I plan on trying a few different ideas with my chally.

I have you all beat.....currently I have a Mustang GT. If you want an "interesting" ride in the snow/ice, try one of these out I can't wait till my Chally gets here

You have to have the right tires. All seasons are no good in snowy conditions. Good snow tires all around will make a big difference.

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!

Thanks for the tips on the sandbags & tires. I've seen demos and test drive reports on the SRT8 and it mentioned being able to turn off the traction control. Does anyone know if the RT has the same feature? I have a 1988 Celica GT convertible that I store in the winter. My plan is to sell that in spring and go for the Challenger RT.

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!

I have a deal set up for a Spring Special when and if it becomes available, but I stopped by another Dodge dealer yesterday that I was driving by because I saw a few Challengers on the lot. They had one RT and one loaded SRT. They wanted $8k over sticker as a markup on both. Of course, they also wanted a markup on the 2008 Super Bee still sitting on the lot. The sales representative had no idea what a Spring Special was. In contrast, when I walked into the other dealership with which I set up the deal for the Spring Special, they were falling all over themselves to make a sale.

So what's the pricing of the spring special? By the time I get one it will be spring anyway, I might hold out.

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing!

There's aways the Mustang GT...and it comes in a convertible. Why build a great car and get greedy on the price?
