Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing Released

ok so I'm wondering...why did the base price go up on the SRT from the 08's? Didn't that one start at $37K vs $39? Can anyone enlighten me on this?

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing Released

Dodge announced an "across the board price increase" earlier this week. It's in response to the rising cost of steel.
Due to the volitility of oil prices, everything has risen in price dramatically. I'm sure that's the main reason LLC waited so long to announce 2009 prices. Trying to keep the price reasonable but not taking a beating on it either.

Re: 2009 Dodge Challenger Pricing Released

Does anyone Know when the launch or when production and shipping for the 2009's will commence?

Another reason was the big pre-sale of 3,450 SRTs. Dodge knew that buyers would not back out for $2,000. Just a chance to pocket an extra $7 million.

Exactly the reason. Also, although this forum is a great asset to us, we're also kind of "shooting ourselves in the foot" , with all of our own hype, and showing just how much we want this car !!
