Re: Brampton to build 30,000 cars yearly.

I agree its a starting point. DCX is playing it safe. Mustang sales have been stalling lately and they aren't betting the farm on a V8 in this economy. But, if demand is high they will increase production. Its never going to come close to Mustang sales but thats a good thing. I said no to the Shelby GT500 since 95% of the people will think it is a Mustang GT (or even worse just a Mustang).

I have a call in to dodge to find out the real number but I dont think it's that high because ford only has 1500 or so.

I think he was talking about the average person on the street, and that's true. The average person doesn't know a V6 Mustang from a GT from a GT500. To them, it's just a Mustang. We're enthusiasts on this forum, but the average driver is not.

I dont think theres such a thing much anymore as the average person when it comes to cars and trucks.....With the internet and all most people that are looking for that kind of car know a little before they go to shop for one. But there are allways a few that dont know the butts from a hole in the ground.

I agree, but I think the point he was trying to make was that the average person does know one trim level from another on a car, unless that is the car he/she is interested in buying. The average person does not know that a Mustang with fog lamps is a GT and without is a V6.

Re: Brampton to build 30,000 cars yearly.

I've been very disappointed with the GT500 performance numbers the magazines are getting. Low 13's? 500hp? Come on!
