Re: Brampton to build 30,000 cars yearly.

man,..... 30K... all this comments, the amount of dealears only at the USA.......I've been worried since the beginning about the fact that if the Challenger will be available in Mexico..............

my prays were answered when the project was a go, but now I'm praying so Mexico (Monterrey) gets some....... at least one.... just for me!

Re: Brampton to build 30,000 cars yearly.

I'm sure there will be enough for everyone. Yes, things will be crazy for the first year. In 2009, when the Camaro comes out, I know we will lose at least one or two Challenger lovers to it. Especially if they put the LS7 motor in it. 2010 will bring a new look for Mustang and soon the spot lights will be moving in other directions. You might not see it til the fall of 2009, but you will see at least a few dealers giving deals on new Challengers. An inventory of Challengers will happen soon enough. A huge Chrysler dealer in my town has about 3 of each SRT models all in a row waiting for buyers. They have been there for months.

Re: Brampton to build 30,000 cars yearly.

Is this rumored 30K production number just for the US, or is Canada going to be getting its share from that as well. Amd looking at the prices on the net for the Charger, i would not say that SRT8 would be going for less then 45K! I'm just glad that the company I work for get a 3% above cost with the Dodge dealership in my city!!

Re: Brampton to build 30,000 cars yearly.

well, im just wanting to remind people about the advantage the chally will hopefully have as opposed to the GT500, first, that heavy, supercharged 5.4 adds a lot to the weight of that baby. hopefully, the challengers 6.1 (and hopefully 6.4) will take some wieght off. btw, does anyone know of the trim options and such for the chally? like r/t, t/a, SRT, SRT8 yada yada yada. And lastly, when i get my chally, im going to get a custom fashia and rear end custom built to look just like doug schramm's HEMICUDA drawings, (sorry if i wrote your name wrong) with the HEMI/hockeystick decals on the rear fender and all, possibly a 2008/9 replica of the AAR?

I'm afraid the gov't is gonna crack down and put a stop to it soon.

So I'm not sure the Challenger will last 20 years, depending on what happens in that arena.

But that's just my fear and speculation. No hard facts to back that up - so lets go with the long production run!
The government is'nt gonna crack down on performance vehicles. The insurance companys will, but only with high premiums. For those of us that do buy new challengers, expect to pay HIGH premiums. 3-4000 dallars a yr!

Yeah when I changed my S-10 pickup to a 2004 GTO my premiums went from $840 a year to $960 a year.
