General timeframe on SRT versions are sometime around a year after the production model hits the road (hopefully a little less). SRT can't do anything with the car until they actually have a production version to work with. Remember, SRT does not build cars, they simply work their magic on current production models.
This is one model were they should like twice about it. The Challenger should become the "Corvette" for DC. They should put the SRT Team on it before it's out. Posts in lots of boards say that most would like an "SRT" version and are willing to hold off on buying "just a Challenger."

But, who knows what DCX has up their sleeves. Maybe if they could add on at the Brampton plant before Challenger goes into production it would work.
I agree, but demand is a bit down for these cars since the hype is going down. Switching for a "limited" production car with a bigger price tag would be advantageous to DCX's bottom line.

Ditto. LY would be a nice... but I got to wonder if DC has something up their sleeves. I wonder if this car might be out in Summer in time for '07.

I've been wondering this myself. Its been said work on the car started in early 2004, they had to know when they started how it would be received. There have been a few messages from members on this board that make me think they may already be deep in the tooling up stage for production in fall of this year. One guy visited the Detroit show and had DCX employees tell him to circle next spring on his calendar. Another guy visits his buddy working in a dodge dealership and is told the car is on track for early 2007. That's mighty suspicious. Its all fourth hand rumor but there have been repeated hints from different people. Obviously take with a big lump of salt.
Any new News on this? I'm sick and tired of speculating!
