"Challenger is to run through model year 2015 or 2016 with minimal changes, while the new E-EVO platform is developed; the supercharged 6.2 Hemi is now thought to be arriving in 2013 or 2014. After that, Challenger’s fate is unknown."
This supports the Ralph Gilles' remark on Autoline that "the Challenger will not become irrelevant."
That means there is hope for me buying a new SRT when the time comes!!
and maybe even a supercharged one...so there is a god, my faith was lost when the pcm was locked.
allpar is about as reliable source as you get. The only thing more reliable than them is official statements from Chrysler or when the car actually gets rolled of the truck. Do you have a direct link to this?
According to the outside suppliers, no parts have been ordered past 2016. I have a copy of the report in my files around here somewhere.
If sales don't improve they may stop production earlier just as they did in 1974. Prior to 1974 they were already working on the next gen of the e-body program but killed it due to poor sales.

So four more model years. We keep hearing about the Challengers demise. Yet the facts are that they have sold more of them every year. This article in allpar says that Chrysler sold a record number of Challengers this may: Allpar Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep News
So you have sales that are increasing every year and they haven't done a major interior refresh. The only new things they did to the car was add the 3.6l V6 and 392 Hemi.

Here is the link to the quote. Also, allpar is reporting that the first car to get the new supercharged 6.2 will be the Barracuda SRT.
The most interesting thing on that page is the plans for the Avenger. Switching it to a rear wheel 4 door built on the same platform as the SRT Barracuda.
