Yep Ragamuffin...

I took the photo over at my brother's place on the day I picked-up the car. It's certainly got some great body lines and I prefer the C5's styling to that of the new C6. It's definitely a great looking car and very quick too, but it's now very hard keeping my wife from driving it...heck, she already 'liberated' my Chrysler a few weeks ago. Hopefully, once I get the Challenger, maybe I can keep her out of it, but it'll probably very unlikely, 'cause she's a 'Car Nut' too.

With regard to Shield's, the owners almost had to sell the business awhile back, but did manage to remain 'in business' after all of these years. You know, a date shake sure does sound good about right now.

Challenger4-TheWin...

For confidentially reasons, posting a photo of one's personal vehicle(s) with the actual plate number exposed is not a very good idea, so I always 'Photoshop' my plates; however, you'll know it's me if you saw the personalized plates on my Chrysler and 'Vette....my other vehicles have the standard generic (DMV issued) alpha numeric plates.

Actually, the 'Vette is a fully-optioned (sans SRTD - Selective Real Time Damping), very low mileage, 'mint condition' 1998 C5 A4...previously owned by a Corvette collector and former president of the local Corvette club. My brother purchased the 'Vette from him a few months ago, but then decided that he was going to trade it in for either an E55 AMG or a '300C SRT-8'.

Now, my brother has decided to possibly purchase some 700hp 'Vette that he had heard about...located somewhere within the L.A. area. We're suppose to go look at it/'test drive' on Monday. With regard to my C5...I just couldn't 'pass up' the excellent deal my brother gave me nor could I allow a car dealer to take it 'on trade'.

Actually, I've seen plates with only two characters here in CA.

So far, I prefer the C3 and C5 models the best, but the new C6s do look very sharp. My wife and I looked at the 07s earlier this week, but we decided that a new truck (hopefully an 'SRT-10') and then the Challenger will be our next acquisitions.

Saw one in KS with just the letter "1". Must have been first in line and midnight.

VP...

Thanks, and now that you've mentioned it, I guess from that angle it does look kinda' like a T/A. This might explain why GM designed the new C6's a little shorter and narrower...and yes, I looked at them again today. I'm really becoming very fond of the Sunburst Orange Metallic paint scheme that I saw on a new Vette (which they're prepping) in the shop area...very nice.
