I'm sure he's actually referring to this Super Muscle Car.

Nope no misprint. They dropped a 392 hemi (yes the same one that would go into the 2008+ Challenger) into a 1970 Challenger and put a snorkel hood on it. It was at the last SEMA show in Nov 2005 (I believe).

There have indeed been rumblings of the 440 hemi but I have no knowledge of a 426 though it too would be a no brainer. Where did you get the info on a possible 426 hemi?

AHHHH ,well, I think I better clarify or fess up to a kind of "fib". ..I apologize for the use of 'Implimentation' as that implys that DCX or the Dodge Boys :as in actual production! To further clarify, I heard Foose of Chip Foose via Mr. D.J.'s post that he was going to use the 426 Hemi or 7.0 , as at least one of the engines of choice ,in his Challenger Program ! I also may have still been con-Foosed by my original thought of seeing the Concepts power plant 425 HP with the 6.1 and thinking from the original 426 Hemi that indeed had 425 HP stated in Official print material ! I ,too agree though that having the Historic 426 Hemi in the 2008 Challenger would be a 'no-brainer' and would /could be a real DCX marketing ploy or strategy ...sshhhhhh ! Also, I'm not up on SEMA ; what is this ? does that stand for Southeast Mopar Association ? No, try =Specialty Equipment Market Association >or four decades SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association, has been at the forefront of the automotive aftermarket – a unique industry dedicated to the enhanced performance, appearance and handling of all types of passenger cars, light trucks and recreational vehicles.

Note how they brand it as a 392 SRT-8.
