Personally, I'm about to put alot of money into upgrades on my house so I'm not in a rush. My truck will be paid off in about two years, if the challenger comes out before then I'll buy one when it comes out, if not, then I'll wait until the truck is paid off, then I'll be looking into getting something else.
Yes, that's exactly what I was implying :well stated comrade !! Also,I like your foresight and forward thinking planning....saving for when the Challenger is available at one of your local Dodge Dealers !

My main point for bringing this up is that I'm wondering if anyone knows , unless I'm one of a handful , of this person [who I will not name at this stage } that currently has documented technology in which a vehicle can and does attain MPG way in excess of 256 MPG ??? Yes, I can & will believe if most of your eyes are doing this > ; but if need be or when the time comes, can and will provide Proof. No, I don't have the exact details and if the Hemi 's can be tweaked or reworked without hindering their horsepower; but would like to delve into this with DCX as well as our Government Honchos : without any suppression from the obvious >> Big Oil and the others who would not like to see this become a reality for the masses !!! // .... ... ok, here refer to this link >> http://www.trekaerospace.com/about_RB.html

Huh?? This link says nothing. Do you honestly think that if this technology exists that one of the foreign auto makers outside of the "big 3" would not have capitalized on it by now? Give me a break. Look out, the black helicopter is coming!!!

It's possible that they have not been aware of this. The Japanese didn't know how to produce or mass produce autos until about 30-35 yrs. ago. When I worked in a steel mill in the early to mid 70's every so often a group of Japanese would take tours...We showed them how to do it and now look at the current [ and past 2 decades] they've beaten our butts !!! I'm not surprised if the Big 3 don't know of this...There's many influences that most of us are not even aware..of..behind the scenes...Again, I'm not sure if this documented technology can be tweaked for the normal internal combustion, but would think it could be. I only just happened across this website a few years ago and was amazed when I read that..thinking how unbelievable that a vehicle...competition vehicle could attain 700+ MPG !

I feel that this kind of garbage is something approaching theft. They're gonna make them next year so all a stealership that does this is doing is pi$$ing off the customers!!! There's a small stealership near my house (Sturgill's in Conowingo, MD) that has 3 SRT Magnum's, 2-SRT 300's, and ~12 SRT Rams that have been sitting on thier lot that they can't sell! No premiums here! SO the notion that "well, everyone else is doing it, and that makes it OK" is pure BS!

Re: Dodge Challenger to be Low Production V8

I, like many of you, have subscribed to Dodge's Challenger News website.

Yesterday, I was excited to get an update from Dodge. However, after reading it, I was very disappointed...it says NOTHING!

Here is Dodge's "update":

"Back by unprecedented demand, the all-new Dodge Challenger will reclaim the streets in 2008.

The all-new Challenger is Dodge's modern take on one of the most iconic muscle cars ever built. From bold styling to pin-you-in-your-seat HEMI® power, Challenger will set a new standard for looks and performance.

Thanks for letting us keep you in the loop with the latest Challenger news – stay tuned for updates!"

I know that DCX wants to keep up the interest until 2008, but this is pretty lame. They can do better than this!

Re: Dodge Challenger to be Low Production V8

Yeah, it seems like I read this very info months ago ! Well, see most of us Challengertalk.comer's know of this..even are more knowledgable than most Dodge salesmen; besides the average American ! DCX needs to build about a dozen pre-Production Challengers in a variety of colors and set-ups ; then notify Challengertalk.com Administration / Supermod's . Then have a staging in areas of the country to allow 'us' to take'em for a spin around the tracks i.e. Laguna Seca , Sebring , Talledaga , Watkins Glen , oh yah ,- Indy Speedway, that one in Sonoma,Ca [] , Daytona : etc !!!
