That's exactly what I was wondering...

2008 Model -or- avail in 2008?

I'd like to see a nice Fall 2007 release... seems doable to me

Re: Dodge 'Challenger' to be revived in 2008, Chrysler confirms

Keep in mind that a regular R/T which is what I want and what I believe they will make the most of should get the 5.7 litre 300+ horsepower with cylinder deactivation resulting in 25 miles to a gallon or so on the highway. I actually want an auto since I have a H22a prelude that gets 28 miles to the gallon as a daily driver. Make the SRT 8 with the six speed and the gas guzzler big hemi but keep the regular and R/T models for the normal crowd that wants a hemi powered challenger at a reasonable price and the srt8 for the older drag car racers out there.
I have heard everything from they will make only big hemi powered models to replace the Viper to mustang competitive challengers. Only time will tell, but by making an announcement NOW instead of LATER -- I have nothing but respect for their decision and DCX will have another sell as long as availibilty in not an issue....

Ok, I just found this site and signed up. I don't care if I have to work 2 full time jobs to buy this car and gas. I will have one. Fortunately, my daughter should be out of college by then. I'd hate to have to make the choice between college payments or car payments! Just kidding, Jessica. I'll work 3 full time jobs. I will have one.
