Keep in mind the plot is to be different from the original why remake a classic but to improve it or to add to it was our true mission.

You'll see its not a remake scene by scene, its a whole new chapter in the saga.
The film will have no SGI at all its all being shot with live action motion old school style.
This will be in no way connected to that crap fox pumped out back in 96 (made for tv version).
Well, I never did see/have seen that '96 remake and from all reports, I haven't missed anything !! I never have liked the idea [for the most part] of remaking an original ;especially a great one ! Can you say if Kowalski /Barry Newman will be in it.I've thought ,since reading your post, that it might add to VP #2 if the first part would have Barry in flash backs and also a scene of him like giving his kid/relative and/or an aquaintance the "keys" or ownership of a Challenger and then say after being in a coma [for years perhaps] .Kowalski barely awakes from being in a coma and gets a call from his son ,whom he's not seen for years..Gets up from his hospital bed and looks out the window and sees this all new 2006 Hemi Orange Challenger...then drifts into a semi-conscious state /begins another flashback where the White 1970 Challenger is coming upon the new Challenger i.e the early scenes of VP #1 !!!!!!!!!!! Oh,I better stop writing...oh y-ahhhhh you're the writer!!! Oh yeah,[almost forgot I did meet "Petrocelli" 1975 while he was shooting an episode. He was with "the wife", Susan Howard on location ;somewhere in Tucson ! In case the movie needs another person, I'm available, but again , I'm not a SG member and I am not an actor or a writer !!! In fact ,I aaaa ,what the!

You are a fan!!!!!!!
However its already a done deal but your ideas are great.
Now how much of my content will be used its up to the studio who bought my property.I figure as long as the check cleared and it did thats all I'm worried about, thank god for the writers strike !
We will all be interested in what they come up with.

Thanks much ! I hope your work does well and the movie too ! I better not comment on actors chosen Oh, yes, I'm a big fan of Vanishing Point, a 1970 D-O-D-G-E Challenger ,and Mister Petrocelli. I 'm still Barry Newman got a raw/bad deal when whomever cancelled Petrocelli... I'm guessing some "Power Elite" got ascared the show would have too much influence on the "We the People"; might start people to get lawyers and either sue people that deserve to be and/or to stand up for their rights aka The PRSF !!! Oh Y-ahhhh, about Plagerism, heck not to worry there. I consider myself to have very hi[gh] standards and would not plagerize another's writings ideas, or copyrighted things !! OOOps, although I have copied and pasted i.e. Rambit's puppy dog avatar....In fact I still have not contacted him to apologize/ask permission [Geesh, hope he not reading this !!! Otherwise , I, Ragamuffin might be chop-chopped !!!

The list goes on and on!

I personally wrote the role of Kowalski for Johnny depp.
The actors chosen will have more than talent but massive range in there abilities to sell us on thier roles.
There was one scene slated for the desert at one of the first burning man festivals which Kowalski stumbles onto in the desert. Many extras will be needed and as Im allowed Ill post that info asap.

Now lets see how much of my work actually makes it to the screen.

Keep on keeping on
Hey, did you, are you doing work on the film that this "Johnny Depp" is doing currently. I vaguely have heard he's doing a John Dillinger movie in and around Crown Point, Indiana [ the local or Lake County jail I heard]. Last week I was driving a neighbor to the Crown Point VA and noticed a crowd [of extras/people up on stairs outside and noticed at least a half dozen 1920-30's pristines vehiculars all lined up on a street near the historic and architecturally COURT HOUSE : gangster style !!
