SRT Q&A: 3/12/08 from 6pm to 8pm EST @ 300Cforums.com
The next SRT Engineering chat session is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12th (Tomorrow). The session will run from from 6pm to 8pm EST and will be at the Chrysler 300C Forum. The topic of discussion will center around the LX Family of vehicles but we have been instructed that since the Dodge Challenger SRT8 has been announced that questions regarding it are now valid questions. A thread has already been created and will be unlocked a few hours prior to the chat session at which time you will be able to start posting your questions. A direct link to the thread is here: SRT Q&A Session: 3/12/08 @ 6pm - 8pm EST - Chrysler 300C & SRT8 Forum As always, if you are interested in the Dodge Challenger please visit the Dodge Challenger Forum @ ChallengerTalk.com.

Re: SRT Q&A: 3/12/08 from 6pm to 8pm EST @ 300Cforums.com
For those of you who have never attended one of these sessions, this is your opportunity to ask SRT8 specific questions, and now including questions on the Challenger SRT8. This is a monthly get together and in over 2 1/2 years I haven't missed one yet. They rotate on the different boards and sooner or later will be here I'm sure.
No other maker does this and these engineers volunteer their time and are not paid for it. These guys are first and foremost gearheads who obviously love their jobs. I've learned lots about my car and the whole SRT lineup throughout the years. Many changes have come about due to these sessions. The brake TSB (slotted rotors) and 1-2 shift hesitation TSB (TCM flash) were only two of these and are the direct result of OUR input. ResumeSpeed has compiled an Adobe Acrobat pdf file of all 29 sessions to date and combined them. He'll be adding tomorrow's session as well. You can download the file here - The complete and unofficial SRT Q&A Session history summary - Chrysler 300C & SRT8 Forum. Although anyone can read tomorrows session as a guest, you'll need to register at Chrysler 300C & SRT8 Forum to be able to ask a question. See ya there!!! Now think of some Challenger SRT8 questions you may have!!! Rambit

Re: SRT Q&A: 3/12/08 from 6pm to 8pm EST @ 300Cforums.com
In Wednesday's SRT 300C Chat Session, someone asked the engineers if it would be okay to drive a new SRT 800 miles home from the dealer. I had previously asked this question several months ago and they said it was okay- just avoid wide open throttle.
Yesterday, they expanded upon their previous answer and stated that the SRT engines are partially broken-in when they arrive at the dealers. They have already been run for 200 miles at 30 mph before they are installed in new vehicles. After the first tank of gas , the engine will have been run 500 miles and is fully broken-in. I thought that this was interesting. |

This clears the memory, but they relearn pretty quick. Just a note, prior to the 2008's it was fuse #11, but that was changed to #2 in 2008.
