Re: Is it time for the Dodge Hornet?

I like the hornet it would be neat if they put in the 1st gen srt4 motor that way you can put in staged ecu and up graded cams the iron block is better. Be a neat SCCA car!

They should have produced this car when the talk about it was going around and maybe Chryslers sales would'nt be down 25%. I belive Chrysler will come back again stronger than ever if given the cash and the time to get out of this slump Cerebus just neeeds to put up some more cash and wait this out. With the new line up starting to come out and Ford better watch out the best selling truck will be the RAM! Charger still sells very well the Challenger is a hit and the trucks are a hit and I am sure when the nissan/ chrysler cars come out they will be a hit... Should have not killed the Neon or at least put it back into production.

Re: Is it time for the Dodge Hornet?

The time has come and passed. Chrysler should be concentrating all future efforts on primary battery EV plug-ins with battery assist for longer distance rides. The EV jeep is really promising. The hornet should just be squashed, like any other bug.

Re: Is it time for the Dodge Hornet?

Dodge can still make the neon/srt4 bring that car back! MAKE IT IN THE USA! Sport compacts and imports Im sorry to say are taking over Im 51 years old and I drive an SRT-4 I want a Challenger so bad having a 68 and 70 barracuda in the past but it pisses me off that the hemi is made in MEX! they dont even like this country the hemi is an american pride engine and should be built here! I hate hearing people right american muscle built every where else but america. Neons where built in mex also at least my srt4 was built in Normal Ill. Before talking new concepts how about retooling in the usa. I dont want to hear the crap about well its cheaper to make cars there or canada . When you went to dodge to pick up your import challenger DID THEY PASS THAT CHEAPER COST ON TO YOU! NO THEY DIDNT! I love love mopars and always will but somethings has to change!

Jeff, appreciate the passionate response. However, EV are the future. EV coupled with a gas motor will be the only way to keep the darn mooslimes from controlling our country.

Re: Is it time for the Dodge Hornet?

Being 51 years old most kids I come across think its cool that I drive an srt4 I ask them stuff about there thoughts about future cars they wont buy hybrids! They would rather keep there older car to mod out. When EVs get forced on us then there is a great loss of freedom there. We have plenty of oil here even if it take the so called 10 years which I dont belive to get it Ill go with the old mantra that was shoved down our mouths DO IT FOR THE FUTURE DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN! Some people say 10 years is to long then why look for a cure for cancer that may take 50 to 200 years for a cure! Think of how many people will be out of a job! I know that sounds sick but its true. Sema is worried about EV cars your talking about an industrey gone! We could be paying 70 cents a gallon for gas and selling on the market at a fair price we have to demand that the speculaters stay out and stop driving up the cost. Everyone gets mad at the oil co. me to but remember you can buy stock in them also share holders make the money and thats public record. Both gen x and gen y would buy this car if performance was kept in mind. The srt4 cal. was a bad ideal socker moms drive them the srt8 challenger and srt8 300 is for baby boomers! I wish mopar would build a plant here in Az were not far from mexico I would be the first to step up an want to work there it would be both bacause of pride! and it would be fun also to see some one driving something I built!

I wont buy anythinf FWD so if the Hornet is a front driver I could care less if it is made or not.
