The base V6 does. I think with the first "package" upgrade you get bumped up to sound group I, which has the 6 speaker BA system. I think it's called SXT Plus?

Heck OEMs are counting coaxials as 2 or 3 speakers. How else do you get up to 14 speakers in a challenger.

I went ahead and switched out the doors and dash speakers with jbl gto938's and 328's. Though they are not full range in the doors I can definitely tell a difference. The 3.5's sound awesome and highs are no longer drowned out by my subwoofer. I would recommend anyone with a Boston 6 speaker to switch out at least the dash speakers and if you want a little more bass switch the doors too.

Good info in these topics! Ceri, you're very helpful, indeed!

Now that the weather has risen above 20-degrees here in New England, I'll pop outside to turn over the HEMI and pop a few trim pieces off to see if I have a 4-speaker or 6-speaker system. I'll look for that amp too. Strange, but I'm hoping my R/T has a VERY basic sound system to let me simply purchase some 3-way speakers for the rear, some 2-way speakers for the doors and possibly something in the dash. Technology is such a P.I.T.A.

Ceri.. you should do a write up on why 3-ways are ineffective and sound worse than 2-ways and how mixing and matching speakers to play the same frequencies yields a poor result.

It's one of those cases where as you learn more you start to come around full circle to the original basic answer but with a whole lot of asterisks.

Basic = No problem!
Intermediate = No way!
Advanced = Usually not*.

I'll see what I can do.
