Rbz security code

Hey guys,

Has anyone who has upgraded their radio from an standard res to the touchscreen rbz had to have a security code to complete the install? I am waiting to receive on that I just bought one from someone on the forum who says I dont need it but I've read on other forums that the rbz with antitheft in the bottom left corner of the faceplate needs a code, but I'm finding different answers.

all 2012 mygig radios now have a 4 digit anti-theft code needed if the vin number stored in the radio does not match the one for the car.

I just put a RBZ radio in my 13 without a code. It took a whopping 10 minutes to swap around. If you get it and the software is not at least 8.05, shoot me a PM and I can walk you through on how to burn a cd and upgrade it.

Are these the models with antitheft in the bottom left corner of the faceplate?

Ok thanks brampton builder...I'm patiently awaiting a pm from the seller so the jury is out until I install it if he doesn't get back to me again.
