Cheers folks and should be posting a photo soon!

I was about 1 week or so behind you Toxic11 but I'm afraid a spot is the only thing I'll be getting now.

Dodge comimg down hard on Dealers:
Yet one salesman at a small-town dealership in Ohio has taken deposits and placed orders from consumers nationwide for more than 200 Hellcats since last fall, Automotive News has learned.

Could this be Bob? SRT jeff said Columbiana does have over 100 orders so...

Way back when didn't Tim state that all Hellcat orders would be filled? When asked about the initial rush of orders when we ALL thought that demand was going to far outstrip what they could build?

My biggest gripe with Bob is that when I ordered my car he would not disclose how many orders were in front of me. Had this useful piece of information been available to me, I would have ordered from my local dealer and been next in line (they've already delivered 2 and I would have been 3rd on the list). That's what is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I went with someone highly recommended here, and because of that I see little to no chance of getting the car in the color (B5) I wanted. I'm fairly certain the color will not carry over to 2016.

Bob does send out thank you cards !!

The article in Auto News quotes Bob Frederick as saying he told all of his customers where they were on the list. So now that seems to not be the facts........WOW.........How the story changes.........And he should send Cards to all that have an order, with 1,000,000.00 in the bank earning interest he can afford it.......Based on 200 cars at 5000.00 a car deposit.......Pretty damn good if you ask me..........<REMOVED!>......He was still taking orders after he knew the story.........

Just clarification points, though it obviously does not help the situation. Interest would be minimal.. 2k deposit, not 5k. When I inquired since I almost went with him I was told I would be #9 in line (July 19). I ended up #1 locally at two different dealers for our two cats and luckily both had one initial allocation at each order bank opening (September and January).

I know some are clearly saying he never gave that info but it wasn't a problem for me.. And I hadn't even sent a deposit yet.

The latest I have read leads me to believe Bob is a great guy. Interesting to note, Dodge says they have 9000 orders, triple what they said they would expect last July!:

Frederick is the "performance car manager and Dodge Challenger specialist" at Columbiana Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-Ram in Columbiana, Ohio, a town of about 6,000 people between Youngstown, Ohio, and Pittsburgh.
He is a lifelong Dodge enthusiast and a former dealer himself. His family's dealership was one of 789 Chrysler Group stores rejected during the 2009 bankruptcy.
Frederick won't say exactly how many deposits for sold orders he's taken for Hellcats. Sources put the number at over 200. A sold order is one in which a customer has signed a purchase agreement but hasn't taken delivery of a vehicle.
The 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat starts at $65,290 while the Challenger SRT Hellcat starts at $61,090. Both prices include delivery and gas-guzzler fees.
"I've only delivered a few. I haven't gotten clearly what I thought we would. I got totally caught by surprise" by the demand and lack of inventory, Frederick said. "I'm confident that Chrysler's going to get this figured out. The good thing is the conversation wouldn't even be going on if people didn't want the car."
Frederick says the deposits he's taken are fully refundable and that when the dealership gets a Hellcat, it will deliver it immediately and sell it no higher than the sticker price.
Frederick said he's been open with his customers -- many of whom previously bought a Challenger or high-performance SRT model from him, he said -- about where they are on the list and that it may be a while before they get their cars.
"I do have a legion of customers out there. People tend to gravitate toward you if you're honest," Frederick said. "I'm not going to change my values. Whether I'm getting 50 [Hellcats] a month or one a month, I'm just not going to screw up my reputation over that."
Frederick said he believes that Dodge will "get this figured out."

He forget to mention he mails out Thank You Cards to all that have waisted over 7 months of money and time. He knew upfront he didn't have Allocation so did the people in the know yet he still BS people into thinking he will deliver.

are you calling him a liar? That's a bold statement.

The facts are simple when ordering a Hellcat. Dealer knows UPFRONT if they have Allocation or not. My dealer was only allocated 2 Hellcats on 9/9/14. So yes they know the rules from FCA.
Bob deliver 2 Hellcats since 9/9/14, why take orders for over 200?

I thought we heard in November from Tim K. at Dodge saying that all Hellcat orders WILL BE filled.

My question to Tim K. is why did they come out with the Charger Hellcat when they cannot even satisfy the Challenger orders.... Talk of a Grand Cherokee Hellcat are just a waste if they cannot fill the current orders they have.

All though BW has a crudeness to his post, I firmly believe that the negative side of ordering from Bob needs to be seen, we all to often don't and that leads to the issue at hand in that 200 plus people have ordered a car thru Bob and were not told how many orders were in front of them and are now stuck trying to save face in the fact that they most likely will not have a car for MY2015, also the few that have gotten out have found cars at MSRP at other dealerships just to show it can be done if you really want the car........

I have a question for those that are still on a waiting list with Bob.
Has he contacted you to give an update on when you may get a car? I'm convinced that he has been caught up in this shortage of cars like the rest of us and would expect that (given his reputation) he would reach out to every one that has one ordered with him.

^^^ Nothing wrong with complaining about how badly this roll out has been.

This maybe the first time I agree with you,LOL It has been anything but smooth.

This will be popular...:grin2:

Have any of you guys ever thought, maybe YOU are the problem? How many times on just this forum, have I read "I have a Hellcat ordered from three different dealers, hoping one of them will get me a car". That is a HUGE part of this situation! If 1000 people each order 3 cars, guess what? Right there are 3000 orders, of which at least 2000 are FAKE. That is clogging up the order banks, delaying all the true sold orders, and messing up everything for everybody.
Cancel all but one order, and watch what happens...

Too funny because I just read on one of the Jeep SRT forums that I belong to, that a forum member has a friend with orders with 4 different dealerships. That's got to create a problem and a backlog. Not good.

And there were some of us who were patient waiting on one order who got no information from FCA because
they have no clue how to run their operation, they can't even tell people WHY Sunroof's are on constraint
for HC's but not for anything else. Oh that might mean they have to fess up that there must be a major issue
with having a hole in the roof... Hell it only took them four months to figure out a price to charge for a fricking
rim paint color....

Brett, I understand you did it correctly, and are very frustrated. No one can blame you for that. I also know that quite a large number of people (judging from this and other forums) ordered from Bob, and up to 4-5 MORE dealers. Had they just submitted one order, from Bob or elsewhere, maybe YOUR car would have been built.
As far as the sunroof, like it or not, 200 MPH vehicles should not have a hole cut in their roof, braced or not. Roofs "bulge" at speed, and obviously Chrysler doesn't feel safe cutting holes in Hellcat roofs. YET.
The whole wheel thing is ridiculous, I agree. When only one wheel was offered on SRT8's, there were no complaints, and there was no waiting.
Whatever you decide to do, (I'd keep that cool Toxic Orange), if you get to Beaver Springs this summer, stop by the silver Challenger with charcoal stripes and a Speedlogix hood and say hi.

Lets just say RS and I challenge each other,LOL I need to see and touch to believe, just like the shortages haven't effected production crap....Tim on the other hand is like a politician, never quite lies but never commits either, the we will build as many as there are orders is a great example, he will build everyone, he just didn't commit to when, but most believed it would be in MY15.
BTW, the number of 3500 +500 came from an SRT engineer and was backed up by another insider at the time, looking back I think Dodge may have used those numbers but when the orders came in they were floored......and that may explain some of the issues.....

Wouldn't it not be too difficult for FCA to sort their Hellcat orders by name to see who has orders in at different dealerships and eliminate the duplicates?
