Just got three runs but happy with the results. Just getting used to the car with 700 miles so I let the computer shift on its own. Last run the car short shifted 2-3 as I sat and waited an hour as the car in front of me broke. Still happy for first time out. I will manually shift next time out. Some very good runs. With a little more seat time in that thing I will bet you can get it down to a 10.40 or better. Congratulations and super driving.
You ain't kidding! Isn't the Cat certified at 10.8 with drag radials? Pretty freaking good for a STOCK car with a regular "joe" driving. Nice work OP, congrats on the car, and THANK YOU DODGE FOR GIVING US THIS MARVEL OF A CAR!
Congrats! Very consistent runs, I have the Nitto 555 R's that I will be putting on and trying out at the track in a couple weeks. Hope to join the 10 second club!
Yes, it is amazing how good / fast cars are today. Congrats on skipping the low-11 second club and going directly to the 10 second club on your first trip to the track. Great to see.
It's funny how on the 'camaro5' forums, one tard named 'medisin' or something would always spout of that the HC was a high 11 or low 12 second car based off of one or two journalists failed attempt at mastering traction in the HC. He laughed at the NHRA certification and said that was all BS, the cars are high 11 second cars at best.
Even when the black and white cars in Texas did the controversial 10.48 and not as controversial 11.1, he blathered on that it was 'one car and probably it was modded'.....and went back to the one car that did an 11.9 or something in a magazine.
Now there is a pile of Hellcats delivering 10.XX times and he won't even acknowledge the fact the cars are delivering the NHRA certified times that Dodge announced. This guy is clearly suffering from Stockholm syndrome or some other kind of mental disorder no doubt from being sexually abused in the back of a Camaro or something and can't accept the fact that Dodge is kicking the crap out of any factory stock times put down by his vaunted Camaro or Cadillac.
I laugh and laugh at how blind he is to reality and the facts as they pile up around him. It scares me to think someone can be so brainwashed that they can't even respect the accomplishments of the Hellcat.
Nobody claimed it was fastest around a track. The cars are delivering exactly what Dodge said they would, and for that I'm thankful. I'm thankful for the people that are putting drag radial on and adding more and more 10 second time slips for idiots like medisin to choke on and lose sleep over.
Tell those guys to go find one of us on the street, he will get wasted. I was giving rides to techs yesterday from the dealer now that we are officially "broke in", three of us in the car, some crap in the trunk, crap 91 octane Caseys gas, turning mid 11's over and over again. Did it Tuesday with one guy in the car and BP 93 octane, low. 11's on the street! We are not the quickest around, I know that, I am too old, but for out of the box stuff, right now, this is the machine.
I have to believe Medisin is just trying to ruffle feathers over on Camaro5 he can't be that stupid. My guess is that a 392 busted his CTSV's ass and he hasn't gotten over it.
