Re: What will the Dodge Challenger weigh?

I'm guessing around the 3900 mark. I'm hoping no more than 3700. My dream would be 3400.

Re: What will the Dodge Challenger weigh?

Does it make a difference if there is more power added?

yes, not all people will get the most expensive/most powerful. and the weight will affect track times and acceleration. not to mention the gas.

if it's higher than 4000+ pounds i'll bet a lotus elise would kick it's ass with it's only 190hp

What you said.........

I think this poll should have been titled "What do you think the Challenger SHOULD weigh". If it is going to be competitive it can't come in over 3600 lbs, which given the weight of current SRT-8 Charger, I'd be surprised if they can shave more than a couple hundred pounds with the LY chassis, as they won't be using carbon fiber panels on the production unit. That said, a 4000 lb pig would be slow (regardless of 6.1 or 6.6) and be a bear on the twisties.

I am really hoping that when I go in to fill out my build sheet they don't have "packages" so I can leave off extraneous unnecessary crap I won't use. That said, bring on the stripped 6-speed with the 6.6!!
