Went to go to work today and saw a puddle of liquid under the right front of the car. Smelled like coolant so I took it into the dealer. Turns out the radiator is cracked right along one of the seems. Car needs a new rad.
Not too impressed so far. Had the car three months and have had a broken interior door handle and now a broken rad.
My 2009 RT never had a single issue in four years.
Stuff happens. Maybe your particular radiator was squished during transit to the factory and the damage wasn't noticed or obvious when they assembled your car. But that is what the warranty is for.
You are not the first. A guy here in the PNW had his radiator end caps split open under heavy acceleration. Not just a leak, it all gushed out in a hurry. Brand New Scat Pack, a few thousand miles. Had to have it towed to the dealer.
Same here. It started out with the upper radiator hose clamp leaking. I took her in and they followed the TSB and added an additional clamp as directed. Two days later I noticed a puddle again. I took Lindsay in an they found a hairline crack on the lower passenger side. The radiator has now been replaced and she is running fine.

We had the same issue on my SRT 392 2015 here in Estonia, Europe. We had driven just about 2000 miles and firstly I noticed a leak under the car which wasn't that bad. We checked it and at the dealership they thought the clamp on the lower hose needed tightening. Later we had the car tested on a track for a magazine and a huge amount of coolant leaked to the track and everything got messy... Fortunately didn't overheat the engine.
Had to tow the car away and they found out the ends of the radiator had developed cracks. How can this happen, huh?
They had it temporarily fixed for us and now it has been OK but the new radiator is on order so hopefully we get it soon. I'm just wondering if the new ones have the same issue...? Maybe it's better to keep the fixed radiator.
I knew somebody else must be having this issue as well - it's clearly a fault from factory that must happen soon on many cars.

My 2nd radiator was worse than the first. Car is in the drive soaked from head to toe with coolant. Been trying to clean it, and getting ready to deal with the local Dodge Boys, not expecting much to be honest. For the first time in my life, an upcoming road trip in a new car is worrysome...
Maybe it's a QC issue. By reporting and having it replaced under warranty, Dodge can look up when these were installed on the Assembly line and hopefully resolve the problem with either the line or supplier of radiators.
You can get ahead of the game by checking your coolant tank often. If the level keeps going down over time or if you have a leak (small amount on the ground) every so often then you have a cracked radiator or a leaking hose at the clamp. My 06 300c which has pretty much the same materials in the radiator end caps leaked every once in awhile and about every week I noticed the level had gone down in the tank. I got a small amount of antifreeze on the garage floor about a month ago and went looking for the cause. The end cap on the top of the radiator where the top hose fits on had cracked and you could see just a slightly wet area there. I grabbed the radiator hose where it go's on to the top of the radiator and pulled back and forth and you could see the crack. It was very easy to replace. So keep an eye on the coolant tank. If you don't have a leak it will not go down. Keep in mind that if its a very small crack it may just pass steam but not enough for it to be seen all the time. You may see some pink spots on he engine or under the hood. This is a good indication of one of three things. Leaking water pump gasket, leaking radiator hose or a cracked radiator depending on where you find it.
Was getting on it a little and all of a sudden, smoke show from under the hood. Scared the hell out of me. By the time I pulled over moments later, the antifreeze reservoir was totally empty and had sprayed all over the engine bay and road, leaving a trail.
Radiator was cracked open on the bottom right. Dealer ordered a new radiator
Only 1500 miles on the car, it's a scat pack and was built early December
I'm quite impressed with the quality of my car. I wasn't really expecting it but it puts to shame the Prius we had been driving.
Yes, we went from a Prius to a Challenger.

Anyone found a aftermarket vendor that makes one to fit. I have been searching as a precaution. Does nose have to come off or can the radiator lift out.
I don't like to hear this...I battled coolant leaks on my Charger for the last 4 winters I had it...replaced the radiator, both hoses, the thermostat, replace hose clams again...was finally diagnosed with a slight warp in the neck where the upper hose went into the engine (too tired to think of what that's called now)...never got around to replacing that.
So far I'm at 18,000 on my 2015 (built in October)...crossing my fingers!
Larry, We were putting lots of miles on our car when we bought the Prius but now we only drive 4~5K a year.
So having a super fuel efficient vehicle wasn't really needed and we were tired of the boredom.
I'm afraid mine may have a cracked radiator as well. Just got the car back from dealer (Again) after replacing the right headlight (Halo colors did not match.) noticed small coolant puddle near front right of car in the garage. After looking closely, the only place i can see coolant is right under the bottom corner of the radiator. Hoses all look fine and I'm taking it in to the dealer tomorrow. Upper hose clamp was replaced via the service bulletin, although it never leaked. I've never had so many issues on a brand new car.
There is a TSB from early this month. It seems they are checking the crimps on the radiaitor with a go no go gauge. If it fails they are swapping radiators and adding clamp.
My car had a small coolant leak, took it to dealer and they diagnosed it as related to Rapid Response (RRT) 15-084, which calls for the torque limiting clamp and a new3 radiator. was not happy with the whole thing on a new car, but specially that it takes removing the front bumper clip to replace the radiator. Didn't really want those guys messing with all the clips and fasteners but it was done yesterday, (took them a full day), and so far, seems like they did a good job. Yes, the second clamp added to the hose looks like a cheap tack on that doesn't belong there, but that's the way it is...
Just sharing my experience, hope it goes well for those who will need it done.
I just had my car in for PA state inspection today and they told me that they want to do this RRT and ordered a new radiator. I have a copy of the RRT and my car is indeed on the list (built after August 15, 2014, and before March 7, 2015).
I am hesitant since my radiator doesn't leak (yet). I too am worried about the mechanics taking off the front facia or scratching something. Mine is perfect as delivered from the factory last September. I'll decide when the radiator comes in.
They also want to replace the tire pressure sensors, but I might not do that since mine work perfectly (so far). Re-mounted tires never seem to be balanced as well as the factory.
I think what I will do if I take the car in for the RRT 12-029 is to take a dozen pictures of the cars' front clip area and compare them to what it looks like afterward. Hopefully, the mechanics can make it as good as the factory.
It's just hard to reproduce what the folks up at Brampton are able to do when they build a car.
Yes, I was concerned with the facia not aligning properly or something like that, but to be honest, everything looks perfect so there is hope. (Technically it's just a skin and designed to be removed easily but I'd rather not have to mess with it in a new car). Good luck!
I have the same issue with the Radiator..had it already replaced once and it's starting again. Our Parts employee is already on her 3rd radiator within 13000 miles...
NOTE: This bulletin applies to the following vehicles built on or after August 15, 2014 (MDH 0815XX) and on or before March 07, 2015 (MDH 0307XX):
• LA equipped with a 6.2L engine (sales code ESD).
• LA equipped with a 6.4L engine (sales codes ESG and ESH).
• LD equipped with a 6.4L engine (sales code ESG and ESH).
• LD equipped with a 6.2L engine (sales code ESD).
• LX equipped with a 6.4L engine (sales code ESG).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may experience a slight coolant weepage underhood. After further inspection, the technician may notice coolant weeping from the upper radiator hose connection at the radiator or the radiator itself.
Hope this helps! If any of you need help scheduling an appointment with your local dealership to have this performed, please feel free to reach out to me.
I have a 2015 scat pack with 12,000 miles was built on 8/23/14 i had the extra clamp installed by the dealer im not seeing any leakage but im worried it might happen when im on the road . Shouldnt my radiator be replaced before something might happen knowing these radiators have a problem.
