New to Challengertalk - from Central Indiana

Hello everyone,
I have a 2010 R/T Classic that I have had for a year now.

I saw my first new gen Challenger almost two years ago, and I was a fan instantly. I always wanted to one day restore a true classic muscle car, or invest in one already done, but the new Challengers came first.

Funny thing is, that I was never a Mopar fanatic by any stretch, and my very first car was a '69 Camaro. But Barracudas, Road Runners and Chargers were among my favorite muscle cars of the late 60's and early 70's.

Having a modern-day muscle car means I don't need to recreate one now from deteriorating historic remains, and I can get the style and appeal of old school muscle with the handling and conveniences of modern day engineering.

The R/T Challenger reincarnated, was just a brilliant concept!

IndyR/T

P.S. I came to this forum in hopes to find other Central Indiana Challenger owners to Meet & Greet and/or Cruise with here locally. Let's get it together!

Welcome from PA. I think Dodge more than anybody captured that original muscle car feel in their modern rendition of the Challenger.

Welcome! I am in Fishers, so not too far away. There are some other central Indiana folks on here, but not a lot. A couple years ago, I tried to form a sub group of locals and plan a meet and greet, but did not find enough interest. May be worth trying again.

Often on Satuday evenings, we take our Challenger up to the square in Noblesville. A lot of folks bring out their classic cars (some modern cars as well) and hang out. We usually park for a bit, open the hood, walk around, and grab an ice cream at Alexanders.

I think there is still "cars and coffee" on Saturday AMs at the McAllisters on 96th and Meridian as well. I have only gone once, since it hard to get my family moving early on a Saturday.

Anyways, hope to meet up with you at some point - take care.
